The movie analysis shows that the Aquarius Building, as a "place", was a consequence from the relations of space and her perceptions of it. The protagonist's attachment to the building was the foundation for materializing territoriality as a sentiment of belonging and the reason why she resisted to Bonfim Construction's Company persistent offensives. Tendo como objeto o longa-metragem Aquarius (2016), esta pesquisa explora o conceito de espaço, lugar, apego ao lugar, territorialidade por meio da luta da protagonista Clara, frente aos avanços da especulação imobiliária que atingiu a cidade de Recife-PE. A análise do filme mostra que o edifício Aquarius, como um "lugar", foi uma consequência das relações do espaço e de suas percepções sobre ele. O apego da protagonista ao edifício foi a base para a materialização da territorialidade como sentimento de pertencimento e a razão pela qual ela resistiu às persistentes ofensivas da Construtora Bonfim.
