This article aims to analyze the conception of time in this russano writer work and comprehend its uses in the practice of writing in which aimed endow a space - his "homeclod"- of a inscripption in history.It'll be analyzed also the Maranhãos's relations in the "artistic field" which was part of and the uses he did- in the literary form - from "fantastic"to create memories for the space. Toda a obra literária de Maranhão foi dedicada à cidade de Russas e sua gente. Vamos investigar a escrita desse autor como construtora de memórias, constituindo-se assim numa escrita formuladora de sentidos para o passado e para as espacialidades, uma arte ficcional desejosa de ser uma arte capaz “de dar tempo ao espaço”. O objetivo é analisar a concepção de tempo na obra do escritor russano e compreender seus usos e acionamentos em uma prática de escrita pela qual visou dotar um espaço – o seu “torrão natal” - de uma inscrição na história. Também analisaremos quais as relações de Maranhão dentro do “campo artístico” do qual fez parte e os usos que fez - pela via literária - do “fantástico” para construir memórias para um espaço.
