Busca-se no presente artigo compreender o caráter ambivalente da ciência. Partimos do pressuposto de que existe uma complexidade intrínseca no cerne da ciência, a qual perpassa seus fundamentos éticos. Essa ambivalência torna-se mais evidente quando o homem passa a intensificar o uso de dispositivos no contexto da sociedade global contemporânea.
