| Resumo: | This study deals with cheating - which includes plagiarism and what is commonly known as cola, pesca, fila in Brazil and copianço in Portugal. The goal was to reflect about the impact of the definition and sharing of a code of conduct by the Higher Education Institution (HEI). The study is justified as Academic fraud is a set of practices of a student who tries to circumvent the rules defined in the scope of educational practice, demonstrating that he has knowledge that he does not really has. The research was carried out based on bibliographic review and documentary analysis. The incidence of the phenomenon is significant, indicating that Cheating is a common practice in schools and universities. The proposal is that universities define codes of conduct, as a matter of urgency, to guide students and teachers to reflect on the consequences of their actions and decisions. |
