The relation with the Self is based on observation and objectivity, in which the self relates to things, but this self also takes human beings as things, especially in distant, rigid and protocolary relationships. Given this, the author ponders on the unfolding of such issues in education and problematizes the role of school and educators in the construction of a new educational perspective. Es un texto desarrollado a partir de la percepción de Parreira, respaldado por la filosofía buberiana, con énfasis en el factor de que el hombre está constituido por una dualidad relacional, ya sea por encuentro o por experiencia, asumiendo, respectivamente, uno de los Yo-Tú o Yo-Eso. El Ser no se define a sí mismo y no termina en sí mismo, sino que se constituye en la relación con el Ser, al relacionarse genuinamente con su prójimo, bajo su reconocimiento de estar lleno de potencial y experiencia, bajo el interés de conocer al ser. otro como ser humano, en un proceso de contribuciones mutuas. La relación con el Ser se basa en la observación y la objetividad, en la cual el ser se relaciona con las cosas, pero este ser también toma a los seres humanos como cosas, especialmente en relaciones distantes, rígidas y protocolares. Ante esto, el autor reflexiona sobre el desarrollo de tales temas en educación y problematiza el papel de la escuela y los educadores en la construcción de una nueva perspectiva educativa. Trata-se de um texto desenvolvido a partir da percepção de Parreira, com respaldo na filosofia buberiana, com ênfase no fator que o homem se constitui a partir de uma dualidade relacional, seja pelo encontro, seja pela experiência, assumindo, respectivamente, uma das seguintes formas: Eu-Tu ou Eu-Isso. O Eu não se define e não se encerra em si mesmo, mas se constitui na relação com o Tu, ao se relacionar genuinamente com o seu semelhante, sob o reconhecimento dele como ser pleno de potencial e de experiências, sob o interesse no conhecimento do outro como ser humano, em um processo de mútuas contribuições. Já a relação com o Isso pauta-se na observação e na objetividade, em que o Eu se relaciona com as coisas, contudo, esse Eu também toma seres humanos como coisas, principalmente, em relacionamentos distantes, rígidos e protocolares. Diante disso, a autora pondera sobre os desdobramentos de tais questões na educação e problematiza o papel da escola e dos educadores para a construção de uma nova perspectiva educacional.
