Este estudo propõe-se, refletir sobre o racismo estrutural e a questão da violência contra a juventude negra no Brasil.  Para tanto, além de proceder à revisão da literatura, estamos ancorados nos dados organizados pelo Fórum Brasileiro de Segurança. Diante disso, nota-se a atuação do Estado na manutenção do racismo como também na efetivação dos mecanismos de controle social.
