Among the achievements, we identified historical and geographical events associated with the current manifestations of choro in Natal-RN, demonstrating the indissoluble character between the political, economic and cultural life in these events. O presente artigo objetiva discutir as manifestações do choro em Natal-RN, a partir de um olhar geográfico. Para alcançarmos esse objetivo fez-se necessário uma abordagem cujos principais procedimentos foram o trabalho de campo e as entrevistas, o que possibilitou a identificação na cidade de espaços que mantêm forte relação com o choro; além de termos obtido uma maior aproximação com os diferentes agentes sociais que o constituem. Entre os resultados alcançados, identificamos eventos histórico-geográficos associados às manifestações atuais do choro em Natal, demonstrando o caráter indissociável das esferas política, econômica e cultural nesses eventos.
