Resumo: | The following article aims to address the Deodoro da Fonseca’s proclamatory act as an urbanphenomenon. Recognizing it as a space-time appropriation of the city, intends to attribute adiachronic soil to the general’s act. Thus, a narrative that goes beyond the linearity of that November 1889 morning route: splits on other temporalities and steps on those same spaces and pavements.
