Resumo:The following article aims to address the Deodoro da Fonseca’s proclamatory act as an urbanphenomenon. Recognizing it as a space-time appropriation of the city, intends to attribute adiachronic soil to the general’s act. Thus, a narrative that goes beyond the linearity of that November 1889 morning route: splits on other temporalities and steps on those same spaces and pavements. From the burnt powder marking the political event in the campo da Aclamação to the plurality of experiences at the Ouvidor street. Thus, rethink the alleged homogeneity of the urban tract.
