Resumo: | This paper tries to analyse a part of the mobilization campaign that happened in Ceará during the War of 1932. Trying to prevent the spread of the war to the rest of the country, there was an intense legitimacy and mobilization campaign in favour of the Provisional Government. In those speeches, the theme of exacerbated “paulista” regionalism appears frequently. In this way, a lot of separatist and prejudiced articles, texts and speeches attributed to the war’s instigators in São Paulo circulated in Ceará. More important than to verify the truth of those articles, is to understand how they were receive by the local population and press. |
