The article analyzes the socializing experiences of the school and family of two young adults who are currently out of school. The production is the result of an ethnographic research with biographical interviews with young people from a peripheral region of the city of Belo Horizonte. Through a methodological posture borrowed from the "sociology of individuals are presented the family and school experiences of two characters, a young white man and a young black woman. The life stories are analysed through two dimensions, necessarily entangled: the socializers processes and the ways of individuation. The narratives underlined strong and dissimilar school marks on the identity construction, crossed by the intersectionality of gender and race, from their family and school experiences. The text reveals the importance of comprehending the school and family experience through singular life's writings. El artículo analiza las experiencias socializadoras escolares y familiares de dos jóvenes adultos que actualmente están fuera de la escuela. La producción es fruto de una investigación etnográfica con la realización de entrevistas biográficas con jóvenes habitantes de una región periférica de la ciudad de Belo Horizonte. A través de una postura metodológica de la sociología de los individuos se presentan las experiencias familiares y escolares de dos sujetos, un joven blanco y una joven negra. Las historias de vida se analizan a través de dos dimensiones, necesariamente imbricadas: los procesos socializadores y los modos de individuación. Las narrativas subrayaron aspectos comunes y singulares de las construcciones identitarias de los individuos, atravesadas por la interseccionalidad de género y raza, a partir de sus experiencias familiares y escolares. El texto busca revelar la importancia de la comprensión de la socialización escolar y familiar, desde el punto de vista juvenil, a través de las singulares escritas de la vida. O artigo analisa as experiências socializadoras escolares e familiares de dois jovens adultos que atualmente estão fora da escola. A produção é fruto de uma pesquisa etnográfica com a realização de entrevistas biográficas com jovens moradores/as de uma região periférica da cidade de Belo Horizonte. Através de uma postura metodológica da sociologia dos indivíduos são apresentadas as experiências familiares e escolares de dois sujeitos, um jovem branco e uma jovem negra. As histórias de vida são analisadas através de duas dimensões, necessariamente imbricadas: os processos socializadores e os modos de individuação. As narrativas sublinharam aspectos comuns e singulares das construções identitárias dos indivíduos, atravessadas pela interseccionalidade de gênero e raça, a partir de suas experiências familiares e escolares. O texto busca revelar a importância da compreensão da socialização escolar e familiar, do ponto de vista juvenil, através das singulares escritas da vida.
