Resumo:The article analyzes the socializing experiences of the school and family of two young adults who are currently out of school. The production is the result of an ethnographic research with biographical interviews with young people from a peripheral region of the city of Belo Horizonte. Through a methodological posture borrowed from the "sociology of individuals are presented the family and school experiences of two characters, a young white man and a young black woman. The life stories are analysed through two dimensions, necessarily entangled: the socializers processes and the ways of individuation. The narratives underlined strong and dissimilar school marks on the identity construction, crossed by the intersectionality of gender and race, from their family and school experiences. The text reveals the importance of comprehending the school and family experience through singular life's writings.
