It is proposed to understand the scientific associations, especially the Brazilian Arts associations, as agents in a field of forces: the scientific field. Thus, associations are understood as agents capable of engendering strategies aimed at changing the orthodoxy of the scientific field. It is defended the union of the efforts of the associations of the area of ??Art for collective actions in favor of public policies that respect the artistic languages ??as essential knowledge for the democratic formation of the Brazilians. This requires internal and external evaluations, fine-tuning speeches and structuring joint actions especially, but not exclusively, with the Ministry of Education. Neste texto, apresentado originalmente na mesa-redonda “Associações Nacionais: conexões entre associação, formação e políticas educacionais” que teve lugar no XXVIII Confaeb, discute-se o papel e a importância das associações científicas. Propõe-se compreender as associações científicas, especialmente as associações brasileiras da área de Artes, como agentes num campo de forças: o campo científico. Desta forma, compreende-se as associações como agentes capazes de engendrar estratégias que visem a alteração da ortodoxia do campo científico. Defende-se a união dos esforços  das associações da área de Arte para ações coletivas em prol de políticas públicas que respeitem as linguagens artísticas como conhecimento essencial para a formação cidadã e democrática dos brasileiros e brasileiras. Para tal, é necessário avaliações internas e externas, afinando discursos e estruturando ações conjuntas especialmente, mas não exclusivamente, junto ao Ministério da Educação.
