Resumo:The purpose of this article is to analyze the importance of the circular economy and the concepts associated with this issue, as well as the strategic environmental management allied to this idea. It will be explored how this can positively impact a food business in order to reduce material losses in the production process, contribute to organizational sustainability and maximize corporate profits. The research method adopted was developed through a case study. For this purpose, exploratory bibliographic research strategies were employed. The results obtained were satisfactory since they evidenced an annual profit of R $ 650,000.00 for the analyzed company, besides contributing to the propagation of the concept of circular economy in the organizational environment.
