| Resumo: | This research aimed to observe, describe and reflect on commensal events during the Jubilee of São Miguel e Almas at Cemitério do Peixe. Commensality refers to cultural, social and political relationships established around cooking, sharing and eating. The Jubilee of São Miguel e Almas is a religious festival that happens yearly for over a century, in August, in the Village of Cemitério do Peixe, located in the city of Conceição do Mato Dentro/MG. During the festival, the forms of transportation and storage of food and beverages, recipes, utensils used in preparation and sanitation practices, sharing and sociability, traditions and gender roles were analyzed. |
