Resumo:This article intends to rebuild two historically constituted ayahuasca itineraries: the one that transits from banipsteriosis caapi to the DMT molecule, and the one that invests DMT as a spiritual molecule. We state here that the ritual contexts that hold ayahuasca have been increasingly reduced through these ongoing appropriations. We propose that is necessary to rebuid the historical density of the triad drug, set & setting to get to understand in a better way the complex conditionings of the psychoactive experience in particular contexts. The itineraries studied here locate plants and molecules inside and also by the side of amateurs, scientists and a vast web of subjects who activate them along a time-space diversity. Between ethical, cultural and medical aspects there is an epistemological reflexion to be made: this epistemology can be usefully driven towards making more dense narratives of the diverse drug, sets & settings existent, connecting them to historically defined practices in the ayahuasca field.
