The article begins by addressing the malaise in the civilization diagnosed by Freud and taken up by Bauman in the contemporary context. Next, it deals with the contributions of Michel Foucault and Gilles Deleuze on the technologies of power established in the present societies. This explains the transition from modern disciplinary societies to modern liquid modernity and its new technologies of surveillance and post-panoptic power, that is, the synoptic, the banoptic and what is called cyberpower. Esse artigo trata da análise de Zygmunt Bauman sobre a modernidade líquida, focando especialmente nas tecnologias de vigilância desenvolvidas nas últimas décadas. O artigo inicia abordando o mal-estar na civilização diagnosticado por Freud e retomado por Bauman no contexto contemporâneo. Em seguida, trata das contribuições de Michel Foucault e Gilles Deleuze sobre as tecnologias de poder instauradas nas atuais sociedades. Com isso, detalha-se a passagem das sociedades modernas disciplinares para a atual modernidade líquida e suas novas tecnologias de vigilância e poder pós-panóptico, ou seja, o sinóptico, o banóptico e o que se denomina ciberpoder.
