| Resumo: | This article deals with Zygmunt Bauman's analysis of liquid modernity, focusing especially on the surveillance technologies developed in the last decades. The article begins by addressing the malaise in the civilization diagnosed by Freud and taken up by Bauman in the contemporary context. Next, it deals with the contributions of Michel Foucault and Gilles Deleuze on the technologies of power established in the present societies. This explains the transition from modern disciplinary societies to modern liquid modernity and its new technologies of surveillance and post-panoptic power, that is, the synoptic, the banoptic and what is called cyberpower. |
