Resumo:It presents the editorial policies of scientific journals regarding open access issues. it uses as base a foreign experience called SHERPA/RoMEO and another Brazilian, coordinated by the Brazilian Institute of Information in Science and Technology, Diadorim. It emphasizes that the policies presents themselves with different permissions and restrictions regarding the availability of scientific articles in repositories, which are classified in four colors: blue, green, yellow and white. It emphasizes the importance of this type of service to the repositories in order to advise researchers and institutions in the management of scholarly communication repositories and policies.
