The way of overcoming all conflict between science and religion lies in the search for truth. Both, by their own methods - experimentation and verification for the sciences; revelation and transcendence for religion - focus on this adventure. Drawing on the view of many thinkers, both those who claim that there is no approach or those who defend dialogue, it is stated in the present work that when science does not belong to any ideological current and religion does not yield to infertile fundamentalism, it is possible to build dialogues from the truth. It is further emphasized that science and religion, recognizing their limits in the search for and elaboration of true knowledge, may be complementary, for what is lacking in the considerations of one can be demonstrated in the other. Este artigo visa aprofundar as proposições relacionadas à temática do diálogo e complementariedade entre Ciências e Religião. O caminho de superação de todo conflito entre ciência e religião está na busca da verdade. Ambas, seja pelos métodos que lhes são próprios - experimentação e verificação, paras as ciências; revelação e transcendência para a religião - se debruçam sobre essa aventura. Pautando-se na visão de vários pensadores, tanto daqueles que afirmam não haver aproximação entre ciência e religião ou dos que defendem o diálogo, afirma-se no presente trabalho que, quando a ciência não pertence a nenhuma corrente ideológica, e nem a religião cede a um fundamentalismo infértil, é possível construir diálogos a partir da verdade. Ressalta-se ainda que a ciência e a religião ao reconhecerem seus limites na busca e elaboração do verdadeiro conhecimento podem ser complementares, pois o que falta nas considerações de uma pode estar demonstrado na outra.
