Resumo:Presents the Digital Library of Research Monographs of Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (BDM/UFRN), pointing out how discoverability takes place in this institutional repository. Briefly discusses the origins of the "digital repositories" term, as well as the kinds and characteristics of such repositories. Utilizes the attributes and recommendations proposed by Vechiato and Vidotti to analyze the discoverability of information in digital informational environments, with a specific focus on the Information Architecture of BDM/UFRN. Utilizes the methodology of bibliographic surveying of traditional and electronic information sources, such as books, websites and digital repositories, among others. It concludes that there is a good information findability in the BDM / UFRN, however, there were shortcomings in the  accessibility of the information.
