It is currently in its fourth phase, seeking to improve its editorial routines and maintain the quality of its presence. A revista Porto Arte, periódico publicado pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Artes Visuais da UFRGS, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, começou a circular em 1990 e desde então tem obtido sucessos e sobrepujado problemas, sempre difundido a pesquisa acadêmica em poéticas visuais e em história, teoria e crítica da arte. Encontra-se atualmente em sua quarta fase, buscando a melhoria de suas rotinas editoriais e a manutenção da qualidade de sua presença.
