Therefore, was taken into consideration theoretical and methodological approaches that bring together elements of biographical studies and the history of education. From the intellectual concept, it is possible to characterize and explain the pedagogical action. It is also possible know the argument, the applicability and educational legitimacy, aspects whose historical construction requires the creation and implementation of operational categories. Finally, in this text, it was considered that the historical approach, dedicated specifically to the history of an intellectual, corresponds to an epistemic field established under a special approach that seeks to enhance the biological, social and cultural dimensions, with the intention of building knowledge from material conditions and perspectives of those who thought, in this case, the education. El artículo aspira a contribuir a la historia del intelectual, al intelectual de la educación en especial, en la medida en que tiene en cuenta aspectos que deben ser analizados en el planteamiento de su análisis. En la medida en que tiene en cuenta aspectos que deben ser considerados en el planteamiento del problema. Al respecto, se ponderaron aspectos teóricos y metodológicos que reúnen elementos de los estudios biográficos y de la historia de la educación. A partir del concepto de intelectual es posible caracterizar y explicar la acción pedagógica. Es posible también conocer el argumento, la aplicabilidad y la legitimidad educativa, aspectos cuya construcción histórica requieren una creación y aplicación de categorías funcionales. Finalmente, en el presente trabajo se consideró que el planteamiento histórico dedicado específicamente a la historia de un intelectual corresponde a un campo epistémico que se constituyó a partir de un enfoque especial que aspira a valorizar las dimensiones biológicas, sociales y culturales, con la intención de construir conocimiento a partir de la perspectiva y de las condiciones materiales de quien reflexionó, en ese caso, sobre la educación. O artigo tem o objetivo de contribuir para a história do intelectual, em especial, do intelectual da educação, na medida em que considera aspectos que devem ser analisados quando de uma abordagem analítica. Para tanto, foram ponderados procedimentos teóricos e metodológicos que congregam elementos dos estudos biográficos e da história da educação. A partir do conceito de intelectual, é possível caracterizar e explicar a ação pedagógica. É possível também conhecer o argumento, a aplicabilidade e a legitimidade educativa, aspectos cuja construção histórica requer a criação e aplicação de categorias operacionais. Por fim, neste texto, foi considerado que a abordagem histórica dedicada, especificamente, à história de um intelectual corresponde a um campo epistémico que se constitui a partir de um approach especial que busca valorizar as dimensões biológicas, sociais e culturais, com a intenção de construir conhecimento a partir da ótica e das condições materiais de quem pensou, nesse caso, a educação.
