Resumo: | Small-to-medium-sized-enterprises is becoming critical as enterprises recognise that competition is shiftingfrom campany versus company to supply chain versus chain. In this scenario network with its possibility to increase SMEs bargain power within the supply chain and enlarge SMEs resources is getting more attention from researchrs. In this dissertation, we present a framework for understanding fhe creation and manegement of network between companies, highlighting the impact of their integration. The emphasis of this research is on the new horizontal relationships among firms in the supply chain. Some of the data como from in-depth interviews with a group of network in the retailing industry in Brazil, from a survey of its main managers. The results suggest that importance of partners-selection criteria, the development of trust among the network and the creatin of mechanisms to coordinate synergies between firm, have direct and significant impacts on strategic network perfomance and success. |
