For example, as Sprint continues to respond to the dynamics of a rapidly evolving industry, an effective prioritization process will be integral to meeting future corporate objectives. In this paper, three pieces of evidence are identified from Sprint that servers as model and which indicate that the current prioritization process adopted by several telecommunications companies is not effective. First, projects are generally executed on a first come first serve basis or on exception basis approval. According to sprint surveys, several projects were not financially beneficial to the organization and one-third were not strategically beneficial. Finally, too many projects are introduced to the system. The result of this inefficient prioritization process is that employess complain of excess work and bottlennecks in information systems, marketing operations and finance. The Primary recommendation is that telecommunications companies should adopt a new process for screening and prioritizing new products. This new process requires early planning and analysis, welldefined decision points, and product prioritization on a CSG-wide level through the use of an objective software application.
